Pakistan’s foreign remittances surged to a record $3.6 billion in December 2025, providing a major boost to the national economy and pushing total inflows in the first half of fiscal year 2025-26 to $19.7 billion. ISLAMABAD (APP):The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has issued clear instructions to the FTO Secretariat to deal with complaints of overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis to ensure they do not face unnecessary difficulties or delays. Islamabad — The federal cabinet has ratified the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) taken on December 9, 2025, allowing overseas Pakistanis to import used vehicles up to three years old under two approved schemes.
