Remittances Hit Record $3.6 Billion in December, Boosting FY26 Inflows
Pakistan’s foreign remittances surged to a record $3.6 billion in December 2025, providing a major boost to the national economy and pushing total inflows in the first half of fiscal year 2025-26 to $19.7 billion. FTO directs priority handling of Overseas Pakistanis’ complaints
ISLAMABAD (APP):The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has issued clear instructions to the FTO Secretariat to deal with complaints of overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis to ensure they do not face unnecessary difficulties or delays. The FTO has appointed the Registrar as in-charge of the dedicated Complaints Cell for overseas Pakistanis to ensure prompt, transparent and effective resolution of their grievances, said a news release. Federal Government Rectifies Decision on Overseas Vehicle Imports
Islamabad — The federal cabinet has ratified the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) taken on December 9, 2025, allowing overseas Pakistanis to import used vehicles up to three years old under two approved schemes. The decision was endorsed following a summary submitted by the Ministry of Commerce and formally approved by the cabinet. Overseas Employment Corporation to export Pakistani workforce to Kuwait
