Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Awn Chaudhry has called on relevant authorities to enhance services and facilitation measures for the Pakistani diaspora in the United Arab Emirates. He stressed the need for more effective support mechanisms to address the concerns of overseas Pakistanis.
The minister, along with Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhry Ehsan ul Haq Bajwa and Managing Director of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Muhammad Afzal Bhatti, held meetings with local Pakistani business leaders in the UAE. The discussions focused on initiatives aimed at improving welfare, access to services, and institutional support for the expatriate community.
During the interactions, Awn Chaudhry highlighted the central role of Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in facilitating overseas Pakistanis. He emphasized the importance of strengthening service delivery systems to ensure timely assistance and improved engagement with the diaspora.
The delegation discussed practical measures to streamline facilitation processes and improve coordination between Pakistani institutions and community representatives. Business leaders shared their views on challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis and suggested steps to improve responsiveness and outreach.
The delegation also underscored the long-standing ties between Pakistan and the UAE and acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani community to the economies of both countries. They noted the importance of continued cooperation to safeguard the interests and welfare of overseas Pakistanis.
