Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), reaffirmed his firm commitment to safeguarding the rights of expatriate Pakistanis, emphasizing efforts to resolve their long-standing grievances. He said illegal occupation of properties owned by overseas Pakistanis by land grabbers and organized mafias remains a priority issue and assured that OPF is taking concrete steps to ensure timely redressal.
He expressed these views while addressing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in Verona, Italy. The event was organised by leading Pakistani community representatives and attended by a large number of Pakistanis from Verona and other Italian cities. Syed Qamar Raza participated in the convention as the Chief Guest.
During his address, the OPF Chairman highlighted what he described as the historic victory in Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan. He praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), for steering the forces with distinction and achieving what he referred to as unprecedented success against the arch enemy.
He noted that this success had strengthened national unity while enhancing Pakistan’s recognition at the global level. According to him, the Armed Forces’ professionalism, bravery, and sacrifices are a source of pride for every Pakistani, whether living in the country or abroad.
Members of the Pakistani community in attendance assured the OPF Chairman of their full support for Pakistan’s progress, stability, and prosperity, expressing confidence in the initiatives being taken for the welfare of overseas nationals.
