Focal Person Overseas Affairs Shaheryar Memon Hosts High-Level Dinner to Strengthen Trade Linkages and Foreign Investment
Islamabad (OPN) A high-level dinner hosted by Shaheryar Memon, Focal Person for Overseas Affairs and Business & Trade Linkages, brought together key political leaders and international investors to explore new avenues for foreign investment and strengthen Pakistan’s global business connections. The gathering focused on expanding overseas economic engagement and building sustainable trade linkages aimed at supporting national growth.
The event was attended by several Members of the National Assembly, including Samina Khalid Ghurki, Syed Hussain Tariq, Sardar Latif Khosa, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Khurshid Junejo, Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur, and provincial lawmaker Farah Azeem Shah. Their presence underscored the political commitment towards enhancing Pakistan’s international economic footprint and fostering cross-border commercial partnerships.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Maqsi and Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheeal Das Kohistani were also present, adding further weight to the discussions. The Indonesian Embassy’s Minister Counsellor, Ingan Malem, represented diplomatic interest in strengthening bilateral trade and exploring mutual investment possibilities.
Balochistan Governor Shaikh Jaffar Khan Mandhokhail also joined the gathering, highlighting the importance of regional economic integration and the potential for developing new investment corridors across Pakistan. His participation emphasized the role of provinces in facilitating international business and creating investor-friendly environments.
