Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Aun Chaudhry has announced that the government will organize a major Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad in April 2026. He shared the announcement while speaking exclusively to Overseas Pakistanis News, highlighting the government’s renewed focus on engaging the Pakistani diaspora.
The minister said the convention will bring together overseas Pakistanis from across the world to provide them a platform to directly interact with key government stakeholders. He added that the event aims to address issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, improve service delivery, and strengthen trust between the diaspora and state institutions.
Aun Chaudhry stated that senior government officials, policymakers, and representatives from relevant ministries and departments will participate in the convention. He said discussions will focus on investment opportunities, facilitation mechanisms, legal and consular issues, and measures to enhance the role of overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan’s economic development.
The minister further said that overseas Pakistanis are a vital asset for the country and their contributions through remittances, skills, and global connectivity are crucial for national progress. He expressed confidence that the upcoming convention would help build stronger linkages, encourage investment, and ensure that the concerns of overseas Pakistanis are effectively heard and addressed.
