Managing Director of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Muhammad Afzal Bhatti has stated that individuals whose visa protector process has been completed will not be offloaded from any airport in Pakistan. He said OPF remains committed to safeguarding the rights of overseas Pakistanis and ensuring maximum facilitation for them.
Addressing a large gathering in Riyadh, Muhammad Afzal Bhatti said the government is focusing on the protection of overseas Pakistanis’ rights and has taken steps to improve facilities for them. He added that overseas Pakistanis are considered an important asset for the country and that concrete measures are being implemented to address their concerns.
He said the federal government has established special courts to protect the rights of overseas Pakistanis, enabling faster resolution of their legal issues. He further stated that skilled training programmes have been launched for individuals travelling to the Middle East and other countries to help Pakistani workers secure better employment opportunities abroad.
According to the OPF managing director, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation is actively playing its role by providing skills training to around 5,000 individuals annually, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for overseas employment.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Embassy Welfare Attaché Najam Nawaz Saqib and Ms Jannat Hussain said the embassy is working closely with the Pakistani community to resolve issues faced by workers and is continuing welfare activities with the cooperation of the community.
