Islamabad (Asghar Hayat) The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has announced a new scholarship program aimed at supporting the children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis pursuing their studies in Pakistan. The initiative covers students enrolled in intermediate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs across the country.
According to the OPF, the scholarship is open to students securing a minimum of 60 percent marks or a CGPA of 2.5. Applicants must have a parent or spouse registered with OPF, and the family’s monthly income should not exceed Rs. 200,000. The foundation has also specified that applicants receiving financial aid from other scholarship programs will not be eligible.
The scholarship covers a wide range of academic fields, including MBBS, BDS, engineering, arts, sciences, and advanced postgraduate studies such as MS and MPhil. The program is designed to provide financial relief to overseas families and ensure continuity of education for their dependents within Pakistan.
OPF has set December 31, 2025, as the deadline for submitting applications. Students can download the application form from the OPF website and submit it to the OPF Head Office in Islamabad or regional offices in Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta, and Mirpur.
The foundation has also provided dedicated contact numbers and an email address for assistance, enabling applicants to seek guidance during the application process. The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on overseas families and promote educational opportunities for their children and spouses.
