A high-level dinner hosted by Bank Islami in Riyadh prominently highlighted the longstanding relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The event was arranged in honor of Pakistan’s Ambassador Ahmad Farooq and was attended by representatives of Saudi civil society as well as notable members of the Pakistani community residing in Riyadh.
During the discussions, Ambassador Ahmad Farooq described the nearly eight decades of trust, strategic alignment, and shared Islamic values as the strong foundation of the Pakistan–Saudi partnership. He also praised the contributions of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia, noting that they continue to play a vital role in strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Participants at the dinner commended Ambassador Farooq’s diplomatic efforts and the support provided by the Pakistani Embassy, stating that his leadership has infused new momentum into bilateral relations. Bank Islami’s Deputy CEO, Imran H. Shaikh, remarked that Saudi Vision 2030 reflects the visionary leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and is becoming a global model worth emulating.
Shaikh further expressed Bank Islami’s commitment to promoting Sharia-compliant banking in an innovative manner internationally, with a focus on creating real value for communities across the world. He reiterated that the bank aims to expand its global footprint while advancing ethical and interest-free financial solutions.
At the conclusion of the dialogue, participants emphasized the need to further enhance cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, deepen economic and social ties, and elevate future development partnerships to new heights. Bank Islami reaffirmed its pledge to promote interest-free Islamic financing and continue playing a positive community-oriented role.
