Birmingham: Chairman and Founder of Faz Enterprises and President of the Business Forum Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan, Sardar Imran Aziz Khan, met Birmingham Lord Mayor Councillor Zaker Choudhary at his office to discuss ways to strengthen trade, business and economic ties between the United Kingdom, Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Raja Fahim Kayani, Central Vice President of the Pakistan Press Club UK and journalist S.M. Irfan Tahir, and Gloucester-based business and social figure Mehran Maroof.
The participants held detailed discussions on promoting bilateral trade, expanding import and export activities, and exploring new investment opportunities. They also discussed Birmingham’s economic development, ongoing construction projects and the city’s importance as a major international business and commercial centre.
Sardar Imran Aziz Khan and other participants highlighted the contribution of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora to the social and economic development of Birmingham and the wider United Kingdom. They noted that the Pakistani and Kashmiri community is actively contributing to various sectors and playing an important role in the city’s development.
Lord Mayor Councillor Zaker Choudhary welcomed the trade and business proposals presented by the delegation and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Pakistani and Kashmiri community to Birmingham.
He assured the delegation of his support in developing stronger links between business communities and entrepreneurs from Birmingham, Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to further promote trade partnerships between the UK, Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and to explore new opportunities for the business community.
