Islamabad: Hundreds of passengers traveling from Saudi Arabia to Islamabad faced serious inconvenience after their luggage went missing upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport. The incident caused chaos and frustration among travelers, many of whom were returning home after long journeys.
According to affected passengers, nearly 100 travelers onboard Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-246 from Dammam were unable to receive their checked baggage. Despite completing immigration and other formalities, passengers were left waiting at the baggage claim area with no luggage arriving on the conveyor belts.
A large number of passengers were forced to remain at the airport for hours, anxiously waiting for updates regarding their missing belongings. Many of them said the flight had arrived without their luggage, which was allegedly left behind in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Passengers further complained that airline staff informed them to check back after two to three days for their baggage, offering no immediate solution or clear explanation. This response further angered the affected travelers, who said they were left helpless while exiting the airport empty-handed.
The situation led to strong protests by passengers at the airport, with many demanding accountability and immediate recovery of their luggage. The incident has raised serious questions about airline handling procedures and passenger service, adding to growing concerns over operational lapses at international flights.
