A key training session for focal persons of the Sahiwal Division was held at the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab under the chairmanship of Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, Saman Rai. The session was attended by Director Police Imtiaz Ahmed Khan, Director Revenue Shoaib Nuswana, along with other relevant officers.
Officials provided participants with a detailed briefing on the effective use of the Overseas Pakistanis Portal, focusing on improving user facilitation and ensuring timely and efficient redressal of complaints submitted by overseas Pakistanis. Emphasis was placed on standard procedures and coordinated handling of cases across departments.
The session also addressed challenges related to the backlog of complaints, with discussions on practical measures to reduce pendency and streamline case management. Participants exchanged views on strengthening institutional coordination to improve response time and accountability.
Authorities noted that enhancing the functionality of the complaint management system was essential to improve service delivery for overseas Pakistanis. The role of focal persons in monitoring progress and ensuring follow-up on registered cases was highlighted as a critical component of the process.
Officials said the training initiative was aimed at ensuring swift, transparent and effective resolution of issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. The measures discussed are expected to contribute to a more responsive service delivery framework and improved confidence among overseas Pakistanis in provincial institutions.
